For on-campus events, make a parking plan!

If your guest list includes only UT students, faculty, or staff, then you can probably assume your guests will make their way to campus as they normally do, though you may still want to note the garage closest to your event location. If, however, your guest list includes anyone who does not frequent the Forty Acres, it is your responsibility to either provide parking or provide guidance about paid parking.

If your budget allows, you can purchase Event Garage QR Code Permits from Parking and Transportation Services for $12 per vehicle. Use the Event Parking Request Form to request permits and other event arrangements from Parking and Transportation Services.

Tight budgets might mean you cannot provide paid parking for your guests. If that is the case, visitors to campus can still pay to park in on-campus garages. Let guests know that all surface parking requires a UT parking permit or payment to a meter.

In order to make the process easy for your guests, include parking information on your event website, invitation, and other materials. Let your guests know which garage is closest to the event space, and whether or not they will need to pay for parking out of pocket.

Regardless of whether parking is hosted or not, Parking and Transportation Services requests that you advise them any time a group will be utilizing on-campus parking and garages.
