Meet Health Science Scholar Milan Stokes

Meet Health Science Scholar Milan Stokes

Dean's Scholars, Health Science Scholars and Polymathic Scholars represent some of the most well-rounded and plain interesting students at the University of Texas. We asked three of them – seniors Mia Ramirez of Polymathic, Wyatt Reeves of Dean's, and Milan Stokes of HSS – to look back on their undergraduate years and tell us how they have changed during their time here.

CNS Honors Today

CNS Honors Today

Dear alumni and families:

Many years ago, Dean's Scholars admitted no more than 25 students per year. Today, DS and our younger honors programs in the College of Natural Sciences, Health Science Scholars and Polymathic Scholars, together admit up to 150 students annually. And yet it's never been more of an achievement to be admitted to CNS Honors.

Dean's Scholars Parents' Letter

Dear Parents:

I am pleased to reflect on another great year for the Dean's Scholars Honors Program. We have continued many of the DS traditions that generations of Dean's Scholars have enjoyed, as well as broken new ground. Each Friday, we continue to meet with leading UT scholars to eat lunch and discuss exciting research. DSers also meet to discuss their own research at RESULTS, and also for regular DS outings, game nights, sports events, high-school tutoring, and other activities.

Health Science Scholars Parents' Letter

Dear Parents:

Health Science Scholars is old enough now to have three years of alumni who have graduated from UT-Austin! As the second-oldest college-wide honors program in the College of Natural Sciences, HSS was founded to provide a unique niche for highly accomplished and motivated students who are interested in health careers and who are dedicated to community service.
