I hope that everyone had a great break for Thanksgiving. Judging by the dwindling numbers of people on campus Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday last week, I suspect some of you took more than a couple of days off. I hope that you used the time to enjoy friends and family, to rest and relax, to ease some of the end-of-the-semester tensions, and to say "thanks" to people who matter in your life.
I also hope that you took at least a little time to study. Because it is crunch time. Last exams. Papers. Projects. Lab reports. And then….Finals.
So rally the study group. Sit down and make a plan. The end is in sight, but now is not the time to let up. Now is the time to make the most of everything you have accomplished this semester. Remember to focus on learning. It is what we are here to do.
Finally, many classes now make use of electronic course instructor surveys. Be sure to fill them out. It doesn't take a lot of time and it is a great way to let faculty know what they are doing well and areas in which they could improve.
Best,
