FRI first Semester (SPRING COURSE)
The first semester course for each FRI stream is designed to introduce students to skills and techniques they will need to conduct novel research. No prior knowledge of the research area is required to enter most Research Streams.
REGISTRATION
- Once you are placed in a stream during Stream Sort, you will be provided with additional registration information and instructions.
- If you are interested in the course credit offered by the second semester for each of the streams, see the Fall Research Courses.
- Research expectations will vary by stream and will be determined by the Research Educator.
- Note that course credit options are subject to change.*
**FOR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (BS) IN CHEMISTRY ONLY:
- CH204 credit in the chemistry streams marked by a star (*) below WILL SATISFY Chemistry Degree Plan requirements for CH317. Other streams offering CH204 credit WILL NOT COUNT toward the CH317 requirement.
- This DOES NOT affect those pursuing a BSA in Chemistry!
Biochemistry Streams
Several streams that conduct research in biochemistry are also interdisciplinary, and will therefore fall under multiple subject categories. The course meeting time is the same regardless of research category.
