Dear Students,
Our College Communications office just released a podcast called "You Belong Here: What It Takes for Success in College," and I want to encourage all of you to listen to it.
There are two takeaways I want to highlight for you:
- Learning is hard (if you're doing it correctly), and that does not equate to you being inadequate. You were selected to come to UT Austin because you are smart, hardworking, and destined to make a difference in the world, large or small.
- We are here to support you in learning. That support isn't passive, though; we have to work together. If you are struggling, reach out to faculty, staff, or your peers. Learning is a team sport, and we're all on each other's team.
