40 For Forty

40 For Forty

Dear Students,

The University of Texas is a wonderful place that is supported by an amazing network of people. Together, they share in our vision of transforming lives for the betterment of society. Generous donations from individuals around the state, the nation, and the world help support our mission.

Next week, the University is having 40 Hours for the Forty Acres. Beginning at 6 am on Wednesday, April 12 through 10 pm on Thursday, April 13, the College of Natural Sciences and the broader UT Austin community are raising funds to help the campus you know and love. Help the College win some friendly competition with other colleges and units on campus by chipping in with your contribution, perhaps at the 40 for Forty student event on the Main Mall Thursday from 11 am to 3 pm, when members of the Natural Sciences Council will be tabling. Spread the word to friends and family on social media. Like and share messages from undergraduate researchers who are staging takeovers of the College Instagram and Twitter accounts during parts of the #UT40for40 effort to raise funds for undergraduate research and renovations in CNS.

I wanted everyone to be aware of this event and to show their support if they are able.

Best,
Dr. Vanden Bout

P.S. Don't forget about the "Adulting" series from Career Services. Part 2, on finance, is Wednesday at 5:30

P.P.S. Be sure to check out the Undergraduate Research Forum on Wednesday, 11am-3pm in the Texas Union Ballroom.
