McDonald Observatory will host an online event featuring exploration of the Sun. Hosts Joe and Judy from the Frank N. Bash Visitors Center will show you live images of the Sun (weather permitting) with specially filtered telescopes and cameras. You’ll learn about sunspots, prominences, solar flares and some of the patterns that we observe with the Sun. June 21st marks the beginning of summer in the northern hemisphere, so they’ll also dive into solstice details.
Can't make the live stream? This event will be recorded and remain on the McDonald Observatory YouTube channel.
