Nature Nights: 40 Years of Wildflowers
Thursday, June 09, 2022, 06:00pm - 09:00pm

Nature Nights

Nature Nights are free, family-friendly events filled with exciting explorations of native plants, animals and the ecology of Central Texas. Each evening features interactive presentations, hikes with experts in their fields, and nature crafting for kids of all ages.

Kick off the summer season at Nature Nights this year and help celebrate the Wildflower Center’s 40th anniversary! In 1982 founders Lady Bird Johnson and actress Helen Hayes established the National Wildflower Research Center which we know today as Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Focusing on the preservation of native wildflowers to restore and create more sustainable, beautiful landscapes throughout North America, Lady Bird hoped to inspire all and serve as a model for future generations. So this year, party like it’s 1982 and join the Wildflower Center as they celebrate 40 years of growth, research, conservation and education. Enjoy themed activities, performances from special guests and learn how you can make a better world with them.

Free admission 6 – 9 p.m.
