It is with the greatest pleasure that the Department of Nutritional Sciences at UT Austin announces the 2021 Jean Andrews Centennial Visiting Professor in Nutritional Sciences — Dr. Anne McTiernan.

Dr. McTiernan received her Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Washington, and her M.D. from New York Medical College. Dr. McTiernan's research focuses on identifying ways to prevent new or recurrent cancer with a particular focus on weight control and physical activity. She has led studies of cancer survivorship and collaborates with the World Cancer Research Fund International meta-analysis of diet, weight, and physical activity associations with breast cancer survival.
